Position: Lead Architect - Mobile Core Network Expert

Location: Ile de France, with remote work flexibility (70% remote work policy) - French and English are mandatory for this position. For logistic reasons we will prioritize candidates who are based in France already.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect / Lead Architect with expertise in mobile core network technologies, particularly in voice and data. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of end-to-end core network architectures and operations, with a focus on delivering tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients. You will offer technical guidance to deployment/support engineers and lead solutioning efforts for external customers, as well as provide leadership to various internal teams including Sales, R&D, and Product Management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of core network solutions, tailored to meet the specific requirements of each client.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including presales, R&D, and architecture, to develop innovative solutions that drive business growth.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support presales activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality proposals and offerings.
  • Engage with clients to understand their technical requirements and challenges, and develop solutions that address their needs effectively.
  • Contribute to R&D initiatives and stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the organization.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering).
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Lead Architect in the mobile telecommunications industry, with a focus on core network technologies.
  • Strong expertise in voice and data core network architectures, protocols, and operations.
  • Previous experience working for constructors or operators in the telecommunications sector is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with integration, testing, and deployment methodologies, including involvement in CS/PS/IMS projects and practical experience in laboratory testing.
  • Extensive track record in spearheading the design of virtualized core network functions (SDN/NFVi), demonstrating adeptness in engaging in technical discussions with diverse external stakeholders (customer engineering, operations, tech marketing) and internal counterparts (R&D, product management).
  • Proficient in core mobile technologies encompassing EPC/5GC architectures and protocols.
  • Thorough comprehension of Web services, XML, JSON, HTTP, REST, WebSocket, SOAP, and a range of APIs, providing a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as NFV, ESXI, OpenStack, and Containers.
  • Proficiency in Network-based distributed databases like Cassandra, Swift, and Couch.
  • Knowledge of telecom solutions standards including 3GPP, OMA, ETSI, IETF, and others.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams in both English and French.
  • Experience in solutioning and constructing tailored solutions for clients, with a focus on driving business value.
  • Familiarity with private network solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to client sites as needed.
